An e-learning course designed to teach what cancer is, including routes to diagnosis, risk factors and common signs and symptoms. Main treatments for cancer and what happens after treatment ends are also explained. This is aimed at all clinical & non-clinical roles, but maybe more useful for those who have just started working within a cancer setting. Bite sized e-learning which is separated into modules. Module 1 focus on early diagnosis such as recognising red flag cancer symptoms with a real-life case study, how lifestyle can cause cancer, how to encourage screening and how to speak to patients about cancer. Module 2 provides an understanding on the science of cancer from basics through to advance disease. Module 3 teaches about the variety of treatments for cancer with reference to drug treatments. Module 4 gives signposting information for those working in a pharmacy setting, as well as a palliative cfby are section. This is designed primarily for pharmacy teams but provides useful information and knowledge for clinical and non-clinical roles.

This ACCEND e-learning explores the process of carcinogenesis – the process of how normal cells become cancer cells. The different approaches to the grading and staging of cancer are also explained, alongside principles of cancer treatments. Suitable for all clinical & non-clinical roles.
