Complementary and alternative therapies comprise of a wide range of disciplines which are not considered part of mainstream medical care and considered low priority treatments. There is currently insufficient evidence of a clinical or cost effectiveness and safety and on this basis are not routinely commissioned by Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board.

Cases for Individual Consideration
On a case-to-case basis, patients might be eligible for intervention, in consideration of their exceptionality. The requesting clinician must provide information to support the case for being considered an exception, by submitting an individual funding request.
