This training improves knowledge, confidence and skills to recognise and make the most of an opportunity to talk to people about their health and wellbeing and help set a person-centred goal towards health behaviour change. Suitable for non-clinical roles, or those new to working in a cancer setting. This training can be delivered in person or online. Completion time 4 hours.

This training has been developed by Cancer Alliance: Cheshire & Merseyside and is designed to deliver knowledge and skills needed to tackle health inequalities and improve patient experience across the cancer pathway. Suitable for clinical and non-clinical roles. Completion time 90 minutes.

A blended learning course, comprised of e-learning and webinars, which covers an introduction of health inequalities, health inequalities in cancer care, cultural competence and intersectionality, inclusion health and cancer care, equity through the cancer care pathway, and palliative and end of life care. A series of webinars which are run by East of England Cancer Alliance Patient Partnership Group. The patient group have all experienced cancer themselves, or cared for someone with cancer, and these webinars are designed to raise awareness and give people an opportunity to ask any questions of the expert speakers and experienced patients. An online workshop lead by nurses which gives confidence to speak with others about reducing cancer risk, screening programmes and early diagnosis. There is a cost to be delivered in a group setting, however individuals can join a free online workshop. Suitable for non-clinical roles, or those new to working in a cancer setting. Developing Cultural Competence in Cancer Care & Support: Macmillan

This e-learning gives knowledge and skills to better understand how culture shapes people’s beliefs and attitudes towards cancer, so more targeted support to people affected by cancer. Suitable for clinical and non-clinical roles. Completion time 3 hours.
